Through community activities, cultural connections and practical information sharing, we support seniors and people with disabilities to connect with others, participate in community life and learn about available support.

Australian Association of Seniors and Disabled Inc.（AASD）于 2024 年 5 月 23 日正式注册成立。我们的宗旨是支持有需要的长者及残障人士，促进健康福祉、社会包容和社区参与。The Australian Association of Seniors and Disabled Inc. (AASD) was incorporated on 23 May 2024. Our purpose is to support seniors who need assistance and people with disabilities, and to promote wellbeing, inclusion and community participation.

我们重视人与人之间的联系，也重视获得信息和支持的机会。通过文化活动、社区交流及信息分享，我们希望帮助参与者认识同伴、交流生活经验，并感受到尊重与归属感。已有活动包括面向华人长者的传统饮食文化活动和中文养老服务信息分享。We value personal connections and opportunities to access information and support. Through cultural activities, community gatherings and information sharing, we aim to help people build relationships, share experiences and feel a sense of belonging. Activities have included traditional food workshops for Chinese-speaking seniors and Chinese-language aged care information sessions.

  1. 在维多利亚州正式注册成立（协会注册号 A0123259P）。Incorporated in Victoria (Incorporated Association A0123259P).
  2. 在 Whitehorse 开展面向长者及残障人士的社区项目，促进社会包容及支持服务获取。Delivered community programs in Whitehorse for seniors and people with disabilities, promoting inclusion and access to support.
  3. 获登记为慈善机构，并获得 DGR（可抵税捐赠接受机构）资格。Registered as a charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
我们的使命Our mission

支持长者及残障人士的福祉，减少社会孤立，并促进获取信息、支持和参与社区的机会。To support the wellbeing of seniors and people with disabilities, reduce social isolation and improve opportunities to access information, support and community life.

组织治理Governance AASD 由委员会负责组织治理与发展方向。成员通过会议讨论社区活动、资金安排及组织事务。AASD is governed by a committee that sets the organisation's direction. Members meet to discuss community activities, funding and organisational matters.

社区联系与文化活动Community Connection and Cultural Activities

通过共同参与文化活动和小组交流，长者可以分享经验、认识同伴并与社区保持联系。AASD 已举办包饺子及端午包粽子等活动，让传统文化成为人与人交流的共同话题。Our cultural activities create opportunities for seniors to share experiences, meet others and stay connected. Activities have included dumpling-making and Dragon Boat Festival zongzi workshops, bringing people together through shared traditions.

实用信息分享Practical Information Sessions

我们通过社区信息分享，帮助长者了解支持服务并提出问题。已有中文讲座涉及养老服务及相关申请信息。请联系我们了解后续活动安排。Our community information sessions help seniors learn about available support and ask questions. Previous Chinese-language sessions have covered aged care services and related application information. Contact us to learn about upcoming activities.

健康与福祉方向Health and Wellbeing

AASD 的宗旨包括促进身体活动、心理健康及健康生活方式。我们希望通过实用信息和社区参与，支持长者及残障人士的日常福祉。具体工作坊主题、讲者和日期将在确认后公布。Our charitable purposes include promoting physical activity, mental health support and healthy lifestyles. We aim to support everyday wellbeing through practical information and community participation. Workshop topics, speakers and dates will be announced once confirmed.

依据协会章程第 2.1 条，AASD 致力于支持需要日常生活帮助的长者及残障人士。Under clause 2.1 of our constitution, AASD supports seniors who need help with daily living and people with disabilities.

  • 促进身体活动、心理健康支持与健康生活方式。Promoting physical activity, mental health support and healthy lifestyles.
  • 通过社交活动、支持小组和联系机会，增强归属感并减少社会孤立。Building belonging and reducing social isolation through social activities, support groups and connection.
  • 帮助有需要的人了解医疗选择、经济援助和社会服务。Helping people understand health care options, financial assistance and social services.
  • 促进实体、社会及数字环境的无障碍，包括包容性技术。Promoting accessible physical, social and digital environments, including inclusive technology.
  • 为更好的医疗、无障碍、社会包容及经济支持发声。Advocating for better health care, accessibility, social inclusion and financial support.

长者包饺子工作坊Dumpling-making workshop for seniors

为期两天的工作坊，长者们一起动手包饺子，交流经验、建立联系。活动名额已满。Over two days, seniors made dumplings together, swapping tips and making connections. The workshop was fully booked.

世界自闭症关注月 · 社区画展Autism Awareness Month art exhibition

为纪念世界自闭症关注日，AASD 于 3 月 29 日至 4 月 26 日在 Blackburn 举办社区画展，展出 NDIS 参与者的作品，庆祝神经多样性、创造力与包容。To mark World Autism Awareness Day, AASD presented a community art exhibition in Blackburn from 29 March to 26 April, showcasing artworks by NDIS participants and celebrating neurodiversity, creativity and inclusion.
